Cast Iron Store Front

Cast iron columns which constituted the store front of a 25 foot wide New York building that had upper floors constructed of masonry, circa 1875. The narrow column provided space for the entrance to the building with the wider columns at either side of the structure. Perfect for the construction of a period three or four story town house. Fabulous old paint and decoration. Extremely rare, as buildings of this character and beauty are rarely demolished. The structure from which these columns were preserved was hand demolished in 1970. They have been in storage ever since. Wide pair: 11'10" high x 19" wide x 18" deep. Narrow column: 11'10" high x 7" wide x 13.5" deep.
